What makes this a premium terrarium?
This piece was meticulously built and cared for by our mother over ~1.5–2 years. The base features a properly engineered drainage layer, a premium substrate blend, a barrier layer to keep strata clean, and activated carbon to keep the micro-environment fresh. It’s active with live springtails that naturally manage decaying matter and help prevent mold. Weekly maintenance—gentle misting, pruning, and glass care—kept the planting tight and thriving.

Care routine
- Light: Place under a grow light for optimal growth; avoid harsh direct sun on the glass.
- Mist weekly: Light mist only—aim for humidity, not runoff.
- Water level: Ensure water never rises above the drainage layer.
- Glass care: Occasionally wipe the inside with a clean, dry microfiber.
- Breathing: Can stay closed for long stretches, but let it “breathe” by opening the lid for 30–120 minutes weekly.
